Here is a direct link to our entry form http://www.retromx.com.au/online_entry.html

Any bike built prior to 1990 is welcome to join us and as Woody says you can get a second ride in Over 35's or one of the other modern classes.

I'm in!
My new '88 KX250 is awesome - just not sure how I'll go holding onto it for a whole race, especially considering how unfit I currently am...

Marty's entered too and is super fired up. He's been riding lots, had some tuition and has apparently lost nearly 10kgs since last year. Look for him to crash big...  ;D

Looks like we've got a local bloke* as a late entry, Shaun - is he still gonna be able to enter now?

*and possibly his 17yo son, who regularly makes us look stupid despite zero racing experience... Not sure if I want him to enter or not... :D

And it was good. I think we had 21 entries, with a few of us also entered in the O35s.

Observations that a dribbling out of my brain...

*Snowy was on fire, running way up the field (even the O35s) on his Evo CR250 until it expired, and then on his 480.
Then he had a pretty solid crash late in the day - 480 looking a bit rough around the edges and Snowy stiff and sore.

*Dougie ran comfortably in the top five on his new KX500, but then scratched his eyeball mid race(!).

*2seven had a ride!

*Track started out very sloppy, ended up very dusty...

*Several new faces!  :) Glenn on the KX250, Jamie on the KX200, and another bloke on a very clean XR200.

*I finished behind Ekka - oh the shame!  ;D

*some young bloke (sorry, didn't catch the name) on Peter Lovering's YZ250G did all of the winning, with Middo consistently in second.

Big thanks to Shaun and the Northern Districts guys for organising the day, and big thanks to the Canberra club for having us.
And a huge thanks to the other riders for the great racing and the great social side to the day.

Hanging out for the next round!

Pete ran his 125L but operating on two hours sleep saw him not running at his usual quick pace at the front of the pack. His sponsored rider was Cameron Eastaway. Cameron is a top young bloke as well as being a gun rider. He showed what a well sorted Evo 250 can do in the right hands. He was awesome to watch.

Middo is indeed David Middleton. He is also the president of our club, Northern Districts, and one of the fastest 50 year olds in Classic MX.

Other notables from the day include Adam Smith on his CR500 getting the better of Craig Lancaster also on a CR500 with consistent riding all day.

Also another Hunter Valley rider, Shaun Guerin running towards the front on the borrowed KX125 after his CR500 had bladder control issues  ;D

A big thanks to Nathan as well. Nathan was Yass' answer to Mitch Payton with numerous riders benefitting from sponsored rides on of one of his many Kawasaki's.

Thank you to ACT MCC for having us once again. There was 190 riders there yesterday and despite some interruptions they managed to get through the program pretty much on time. Some of the modern grids resembled a national event with a capacity 40 riders facing the starter.

I'll have the point score up on our web site soon.

Our next round with be held on the 29th of April at Nowra.

Cheers
Shaun
