I used them, they did not bubble and they are tough, they look ok but not like OEM. They are tough to fit without getting creased, i actually had to cut a wedge out of a secton. I would not use them again.

Okay thanks Brett .. any other suggestions.  I would like standard looking tank graphics and the "250" for the side covers (I think the 250D had 250 on the side covers ... didn't it?).?

I think the Australian D model just had a small red yamaha sticker on the tank and 250 on the side cover. considering that, then wicked tough would go on ok...

Hi Brett

I thought the D model had the long Yamaha ladder type decal on the tank and the engine capacity as a small sticker at the top corner of the side cover (where the seat, side cover and tank meet).  I just can't recall if the D had the black long Yamaha sticker or if it was red like the one in the link above however having said that, I would prefer a red one even if black was original.

Cheers
Craig

I've always been happy with MXM.  A little more expensive, but worth it IMHO.
Perforated or not, just let them know what you want.

Euro would be red and white decal - US would be black and white  :-\
Looking for YZ250C parts NOS if possible

The only triple jumps he would have been doing are the hop, skip & jump.

Hello Simo,
I think that ladder red white and black shown on the link, is the best yamaha tank sticker ever. I reckon according to brochures that it came out euro and oz in 78 on the E, and the euro oz D had a very small red and white yamaha decal approx 8 inches long.

The red ,black and white stickers where used on the Euro bikes in 77 and 78 , so they are fine for the D and E . Dan at motographics is the man for them .

I like Dan, he is a good bloke, i got some stickers for my 125E, they went on easy and looked good, but a couple of weeks later i put petrol in the tank and they bubbled as the fumes came through the tank - i guess, I would buy steel and ally tank stickers to be clear coated from Dan as they well out but. I have a brochure for the D model which had a small red sticker on the tank with yamaha written in white, is it possible that this was an early D brochure from late 76, then they started using the classic ladder fro the production run.
