Vinyl 'welding'

I don't want a 'replica' seat cover for the KX and have found a complete seat in the U.S. but it has 2 very small holes in the cover.
Is it possible to get these welded or repaired in some other way?
I don't want the bike to look like it's been restored, so excellent s/h OEM parts are what I'm after.

Alec makes seat covers. ive had some from him that are stitched and some that are welded. he says he can do the welded pattterns on the tops of seats.

It might be a good place to start, but I'm after having a little tear repaired rather than a pattern made.
I'll drop him an email though. sounds like he may have the skills I need.

Tony if you get your self some black vinyl and cut it so it over laps the rip from behind then stick it to the cover with some good contact it should be good enough for a race bike. jimson

i found a place that specializes in vinyl welding. im pretty sure i saw their ad in Just bikes magazine or that NZ motorcycle market place trader magazine. as soon as i saw it i though i had to tell you Tony.

 You can buy a kit to do it yourself Tony.  Its pretty easy and you will just need to sneak the iron  into the shed for a little while.  if your not looking for a concourse  job its an option
