JR50 front sprocket

I am building a JR50C for my little boy and find that the front sprocket has nothing but a circlip holding it on.
Even more surprising is the gap that allows the sprocket to slide sideways by about 3mm.
IS THIS NORMAL? ta! Luke.

My sherco trials bike uses a circlip like that but has a second circlip at the back to limit the movement to maybe .5mm, be worth checking to see it isn't the same case here

It is quite normal Luke but fitting a small sleeve wouldn't be a bad idea to keep things from floating around
