Each to their own, but I reckon they're pig ugly, especially if you're changing from a standard Husky MX tank (even the older MJ series). Might be OK on something else, but not my "cup of tea". Please not on one of those sewing machines Mike.

The Hi-Point (Lyta) tanks come in 3 sizes to my knowledge, 1 gallon, 1.5 gallon and 2 gallon. I've got a 1.5 gallon version (the same as the one sold to Gippslander) on my Hindall Ducati and I figured that tank would be good for one of the projects but I was too late. You win some, you lose some so good on ya Gippslander, it was a good buy. Tom the seller's come back to me, telling me he's got a more badly knocked about one that he'll sell me if I'm interested...I'm waiting on the photos before I commit myself.

Geoff Morris did a magic job repairing my dinged up Cheney tank, that dent would be a piece of piss for him. ;)

I'm pretty sure Bert Flood used the 1 gallon version on his Pursang's and Rob Watson who owned the Pursangs's Ronnie Dinsdale rode in the early vintage days also had them on his bikes.

I've got a pristine enduro 2 gallon Hi-Point tank that I's like to swap for a 1 gallon 'skinny' version. My tank's just the ticket for someone building a pre '75 vinduro bike, they look terrific on Huskies and surprisingly, Maico's. If any of you are interested in a swap, PM me and we'll take it to the next level.
