VMX Xmas NZ
« on: December 29, 2011, 02:14:22 pm »
We were asked to put on aVMX display at the annual Summercross in Whakatane over Xmas .

We had a static display and a few of us did some laps too. it was very well recieved by the public and hopefully promoted what we do in a positive light  :) Rob Sutherland YZ 490 #33 and Keith patterson 85 CR 500 #56 really impressed  the crowd with just how well a well set up vintage bike with a top rider can perform  8)

Abduls very tidy RM 125T

Good work Bill....looks like it was a good day out. Is that one of yours on the DG RM125? Whoever she is she sure looks the part.
I hope you and the Italian Princess have a cool New Year and I look forward to sharing an ale or 3 with you both in 2012.

Thanks guys , Mick that is my oldest Daughter Jocelyn  :) she fits the gear i dont anymore  ;D

Firko yep Joce only flew in from the UK on boxing day but was adamant that she wanted to do the Summercross  :) she rode vintage on the first day and rode a modern KX 125 in the womens racing on the second day. It really made Xmas special for me having her back allbeit for a couple of weeks .

Vale sends a big hug and hopes to make it to CD or the nats in 2012 , she says im not allowed on my own anymore as i keep getting damaged  ;D

Stu the weather was fantastic we couldn't have wished for better, we did get a good turnout inspite of the time of year when most people were busy with family things .

Thanks Marc and Mick happy new year to you guys  :) Its always nice when a couple of fast guys turn out on their open class pre 86 bikes as those 4 stroke kids get to see how well a vintage bike can be ridden  8)
