Good to see Viper committee securing race dates for 2012 series.
Tough job organising a race series, Thanks to Mr & Mrs Maico for taking on the task.

VCM committee will get cracking mid January on  2012 race dates,  rest assured working closely with Viper on keeping two week gap between meetings.

Pleased to confirm that Corner Inlet/Yanakie have locked in a Viper Round for August 26th.

Awaiting confirmation from Seymour for a date in June, will keep you posted.

Hi guys,

The membership form on the website is dated 2011, will there be a 2012 version available soon, or should potential members just use that one (and write "2012" over the top of 2011)?

Great work securing the rounds by the way.

Tex

To all VIPER members, please hold fire for a short time, all will be revealed in due course. Some exciting things ahead for VIPER 2012, just soughting through some red tape before getting things finalised. Some good venues locked in so far (including Ravenswood) and more to come. The contact & correspondence details for VIPER will change, so please refrain from sending membership forms in for the moment. In the meantime you can email me at [email protected] if you need to.
Cheers,
Mick Hughes (BigK)

Is Monza still the 1st round? If not do you want a round there this season? Need to know as I am presently doing our club roster.

Viper is alive & well and will be bigger & better for 2012 & beyond. 5 rounds secured with more to come. By the end of the month VIPER will be a club in it's own right with a slight name change to Viper vintage motocross club. You no longer will have to be a member of an invited club and will be able to be licensed through Viper which will keep your costs down if you don't wish to be a member of another club. The finer details are being soughted now with all past & current members to be notified via an email or letter (or both) in the very near future. The race program is being tweaked with some classes being combined and some new ones. There will be a pre'85 4 stroke class for all you people with XR/TT/DR etc, a post 90 2 stroke class (including enduro bikes) for modern riders who don't want to race against 450 4t's and the junior class will be re-introduced and hopefully will be more supported than in previous years. All the adjustments are designed to encourage more riders. Membership details will be sent after the end of this month with the membership due date being mid April (two weeks before the first round). To be eligible for series points from the first round your membership must be paid by the due date. To retain your number your membership also must be paid, there will be no numbers held in reserve for unfinancial members. Hold tight and all will be advised shortly, it will be a great race season. You can email me at [email protected] or call 0417394889 if you have any questions. Yes Brent I am on the organising comittee in the role of secretary.
Cheers,
K

Great ,it all sounds good. I'm  just wondering about how and when an organising committee was formed without rank and file members like myself not knowing about it ?

It had to happen Brent or we would still be going round in circles. We don't/didn't mean for anyone to feel "left out" just be glad we have a series (a bigger & better series) up & running. Next year with Viper becoming a club all financial members will have voting rights and able to have an input.
Cheers,
K
