RM250N project
« on: December 19, 2011, 12:41:58 am »
Made a start on the 250N :) this ones gunna be a rider hopefully in time for HBB, not cave queens like the other two.So I wont have to be so anal with paint, polish and NOS.

First was to return the frame to black.

With tips from picked up from this forum, I modified the headstem shaft to fit tapered bearings. Made a special tool to remove the damper rods from the forks 8),so I could change the fork seals etc.
Have repainted the hubs, just need to re-lace the back wheel and thats the shitty jobs done ;)All good fun, but I cant wait to hang some of the new plastic on it.
Cheers Nob

Me too Rossco. I'm always fascinated by goings on in other folks sheds 8). That's going to be a nice RM Nobby. The N & T 250/400s are my favourite Suzuki's (barring RM/RH exotica of course).

Bit more done. Looks like I got the Tank and other stickers just in time, it appears Vintage Factory dont have them anymore.

Well the bike looks pretty bloody schmick so far Nobby, but you're dragging the chain a bit.

What's the current status, two full resto's in something like 6 mths with another on the way? Get serious and start finishing some of these long term projects.

And FFS clean up that shed it's a disgrace, especially the beached whale.
