Yeah Tossa, by rights I should have had mine finished but I keep getting distracted by other project bikes.
As soon as I've finished the flat track project and sorted the Hindall DT1 and Cheney for the Nats I'll get back into the Metisse with its new Cooper powerplant.

Left field for a start!  ;)
I've just been out in the shed fiddling around with stuff and plonked the motor into the frame to see what's needed once I get to it. Not only is the Moto Islo a sweet fit, the Zundapp upper rear mounts almost line up with the Moto Islo crank case mounts 8). They'll have to be redrilled but that's better than having to reweld new mounts....damaging the perfect nickel. Some things are mean't to be ;D

While I was rooting around I tried my T100 Trumpy motor and sure enough, it fitted in there as well! It's a really tight fit and to be frank it'd be a bitch to work on but it can be done. I fitted a T100 motor to a Bultaco M11 (Metisse copy) a few years ago and it was a similar tight fit. While I was sitting having a cup of Java looking at the Triumph in the little Rickman it dawned on me that a CB350 twin would be a beut swap into the frame....it'd be sort of a scaled down Triumph Metisse. I've got a CB77 305 engine in the glory hole, If it wasn't tucked away so securely I'd dig it out to give it a try...... ::)

I haven't got that far yet, but it'll probable be a pair of my 13.5" Arnaco's or alloy Konis. This being a low budget build, I won't be spending on exotic stuff.
