Sydney Motorcycle show this weekend Darling Harbour
« on: November 25, 2011, 05:55:28 pm »
Went today to see the latest offerings from the modern motorcycle world.

Due to the weather no stunt riding outside, but inside a guy on a trials bike doing back flips off a 2 foot ramp was pretty impressive.

A few vmx bikes scattered throughout the show.

The biggest attraction on the Yamaha stand was this beautiful XS650

I think that says something about how interesting the current models are from all the Japanese builders. Must be a real dud at the show being a dealer these days unless you handle BMW/KTM or Ducati.

XS650 is hot property in Japan. Funny what is hot these days, XS650 would not have featured on my list any time in the last 40 years.

Not sure too many in the bike industry are in the position to pump money into anything. Last Tokyo bike show I went was empty compared to previous years. The trend in Japan at the moment is to pimp an 80s bike rather than buy a new one......

Anyway Tokyo Motor show 2012 is on its way .... I am pumped to see the new Suzuki Gladius yessereeee

OK, we went along to the media day to see if there would be anything nice to photograph.  The pickings were slim.  Thankfully, Honda invested wisely...

Oh yeah, they were standing near a pretty cool motorcycle...

On the TrailZone stand, there was a DT1 with very strange forks... :o
