good reliable 1982 xr 500 set up as a good vmxer. alloy muffler. 1984 cr 250 front forks with new brake master cyl kit and fork boots. 1984 xr 500 swingarm and rear wheel which is 4.5 kg lighter. alloy bars. heavy metal air filter element gone and replaced with foam.  gripper seat cover. new oring chain.new front number plate. sprockets good. standard engine, blows no smoke and runs great. tank not faded. could use new plastics etc but it is ready for someone to race in pre 85. $2500 ono. Lower it, put a cam & a big bore kit in it, put it on methanol, put a Mitas on the rear and lose the front disc.
I'll see you on the start line at the Classic DT titles in Canberra next year Kenny.

yeh your right about a mitas on the rear! cant go dirt trackin with a shit back tyre! how did your dr 500 go on methanol? more power? what jetting changes?
