Round one done and dusty,
Having already been to the three Higher profile vintage events this year, I must say It was quite good to
do a low key club round.
A good turn out with over 60 riders entered which would mean about twice that number of bikes, and riders from as far away as Merimbula and Glen Innes
also good to see lots of new faces and first time entrants spread across the classes and from super quick too just getting out there and having fun,
I missed Saturdays free riding, arriving just in time for the riders briefing Sun morning , Happy faces all round and the water pumps working over time to get some moisture into the track.
the new committee working hard to get every thing under control and running to time, also trying to get everyone involved
so as the load was shared across many shoulders instead of just a few doing all the work,
sorry no pictures from me as I was either to busy or sitting in the shade trying to keep cool. Though I did see a few camera's out there???
Personally had a great day with 2 wins in classic 125 and a 3rd and 4th against the 250's on the worryingly reliable CR,
Roll on round 2 , Canberra ,in April
Cheers
Noel
ps No the postie didn't race but I'm told it did a lot of laps on Saturday and the rider will return.
