Oh it wasn't the reliability that got me. Just why all the additional complexity when a bowden canble or hydraulic line is perfectly adaquate.

A bit like yuppies who buy a $600 iPad when an old fashioned $2 dollar paper notebook will do.

Brilliant just brilliant.
Besides the unsprung weight imagine passing a demolition site and grabbing a handfull of front brake.

The bike brake is purely proof of concept.
Pushie brakes matter, but less than aircraft or automotive stuff - making them a good statement of effectiveness without really endangering lives.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Hey TooFastTim,
I suppose i must be one of those yuppies you speak of as I use my iPad to keep connected to the OZVMX forum especially while I am travelling. I tried the $2 notebook but didn't seem to be able to get a network connection ;D ;D

Cheers Stan.

If you work out how often you use your brakes, three in a trillion is gonna take a long time before it puts you under a bus.
More importantly, cable brakes fail far more often than that...

Yes but joking aside I hope you get my point. I'm not talking about all singing dancing devices (I used the iPad as a bad example). My point is that we don't really need a lot of tech to solve a simple problem.
