Short Circuit/Dirt Track Series
« on: October 06, 2011, 11:02:52 am »
Might belong in Vintage Track but the question is more about history rather than discipline -

Can anyone remember the last Dirt Track series that was run in NSW (if ever).

Thanks in advance

Yep, CIG Golden Wheels was run during the 80's but I'm not sure after that.
The NSW title used to be held over 3-4 rounds.

Hey Pat, how good would it be if we could get a Classic tri series happening with you guy's, Nepean & Barley Ranch.
Any feedback?

At Penrith club meeting recently this idea or similar was discussed I think the thoughts were along the line of Nepean,Canberra, and somewhere 'round Newcastle way. Sounds great.

interesting . . . . . . . . . . is there any intrest out there for this sort of thing, by this i mean a dirt track series, 4 meetings across the year, that was well run, well promoted, a strong vintage class, decent value and all close to home (Sydney)?

Cheers all

Sounds like a very good idea. Seems to be a little more interest in DT currently.
