You look like Roger D sliding that foot and cranking it over.  ;)

Did you buy the Maico from Doug or just follow his build on the blog?  Did you race the Phantom?

Also thanks to Flying DG for the most competitive bike I've ever had. I had the fastest lap time on this, faster than on my '77 400.
What's the story on the bike Brad? That looks to be a hell of a hole shot  ;).
Congratulations on your multi wins mate.
Thanks Mark. I bought the bike ( a 440) from Doug ( flyingdg ) and it is a well sorted machine and pretty to boot. Plenty of hand made alloy parts such as tank, airbox, side plates, rear brake pedal and head stay. Brakes are deadly and the clutch rivals a new bike. If you ever get the chance to deal with Doug don't hesitate. You won't find a more helpful, honest guy.

I tried to race the phantom but it threw the chain twice on my and it had a fuel blockage in the first of the races so I gave up on it. I shared it with a friend and he sorted it and raced it all weekend. He tried to buy it off me all weekend.  ;D it's the only bike that was finished too close to the meeting to sort the bugs out. Looking forward to riding it again. False neutrals are the only negative but I think it's a matter of getting used to it.

There's nothing as lethal as a well set up 440 Maico. If you've got the clutch set up properly and the crank balanced to lessen the notorious 440 vibration it's just up to how good a rider you are. There aren't too many that'll beat you to the first corner......as the photos clearly show ;D.

Brad thanks for the kind words! The maico I sold you was and still is my favorite bike. I just wish I could be there to see you race it. You may have to come over to the US and race my new maico. DG

Big Toe - That film is so cool!   Sorry for saying, but I was laughing most of the way thru.
Sorry, but I loved the bit where you rode over the guy.   And I really like your petrol tank.

Film is totally Nek Minnit-plus!!
