Anyone know of someone who'll resole a pair of Alpinestars in Brissy?

You can try Ernie Tye at Brisbane Footwear Services.

This bloke specialises in the medical side of things but he does 'standard work' as well.
I took my classic old AlpineStars to him; they won't fit over the kick-arse modern knee guards; and I've yet to decide if 'll actually get the surgery done to such a classic time piece...
Anyhoos, he had a look and assured me it could be done whenever I'm ready.

He's at 128 Logan Rd Wooloongabba (ph 3391 2066), on the same side as, and roughly between the Brothel and Deshon St (home of many old bike shops).

i think you can buy the soles ? then get a shoeshop to stitch and glue em. if they are the new tech series i think they just get glued.  Ask at the bike shop you bought them from they should be able to order in new soles, or tel you who can

Anyone down south that need Boots fixed can get 'em done at North Melbourne Shoe Repairs. They dont bother with the manufactures soles. They just rip what's left of the old ones off and put their own on. Do a top job for about $170 (I think) + freight and they wont come apart on you.

thanks guys, i tried asking a couple of the local bike shops, but the 12 yr olds behind the counters couldn't understand why you'd want to repair something rather than buy the latest shiny version.

I'll give Wombat's mate a try and go from there.
