Wanted...Chinese Pit bike...preferably rooted.
« on: September 24, 2011, 11:30:04 am »
I'm on the lookout for a rooted Chinese pitbike with 16" wheels. I'm building a funny little pitbike for next years Classic Dirt/ Bonanza/Nats season using a Steens frame, tank and seat, TS90 Suzuki motor and hopefully Chinese UDS forks, wheels and disc brakes.
I don't care how shagged the bike is as long as the forks go up and down and the wheels go round and round ;D.

I don't do other forums, facebook and twitter so I guess my chances of finding what I need are probably pretty slim Doc :-\. However, I think I may have found one close to home, from of all people my non bike owning next door neighbour who's mate from work bought four of them at a garage sale to make one up for his kid. I'm going over there on Monday to see what he's got left over so thanks anyway for the tip mate.

Whatever you do, get the wheels relaced with real spokes.
I had to drop a wheel out of 1 of those things of to a wheelbuilder last year for tightening/respoking & he refused to do he it unless he was allowed to redrill the hubs & rims to take decent sized spokes
