I suspect he's frantically making calls as we speak . You've gotta give AJ points for tenacity. Through his impressive list of contacts he heard of a guy in Gothenberg Sweden who had a rare X cam Lito motocrosser for sale. By the time Al got to the bloke the motocrosser had been sold but he mentioned that he also had a Lito X cam powered speedway bike that Ove Fundin had been developing back in the 60's. The bike's apparently not for sale but the guy sent Alan this picture of the bike this morning. Knowing AJ he won't be content until it's home in his shed!

Here's a Lito X cam engine in a trick as shit Lito X-Frame. The frame is made of aluminum and magnesium, all glued together. Around 50hp and 220-230 lbs. Made in Sweden, in the mid 1960s.

Just lookin' at the rear wheel spoiler, underneath somebody's Yamaha, it appears to me to say " Motor ", then underneath that all I can make out is
 " D'A? " , obviously some one's name, French, Italian, or Spanish prolly,any more clues ??, I do like the Litos , Firko.

The breast plate in the background say's something Rebels, is it Morwell?

The breastplate  appears to say " Ronnies Rebels" and the flag on the tank could be the flag of the Land of the Long Flat Vowel , if that's the case, could it have something to do with Ronnie Moore ??.

I think you guys are getting close...what speedway engines came out of New Zealand? It's clearly not a Briggo and it's nothing like any of the Aussie engines. The tank sticker seems to have a Southern Cross motif, possibly indicating Aussie or NZ roots. Ronnies Rebels might possibly indicate the photo was taken in NZ and the Yamaha dealer advertising on the rear wheel disc hints of an Aussie, NZ or even American connection.  Jonesy's got nearly every speedway conversion or oddball engine made and he doesn't recognise it but guesses reckons it might be from Northern Euro....so

The Denco engine was from Un Zud wasn't it, dunno what one looks like .

Just googled Denco Speedway engines and the type 3 Denco had the cam drive on the left, as the one in the photo has, the earlier two Denco models  had the cam drive on the right.
Are we getting closer ??

Certainly looks like the finning of the early Denco motors.
Ronnie's Rebels was a Christrchurch-based team racing in the South Island Kiwi teams league, along with the Tasman Tigers and the Oreti Stormers. The bib is without doubt one of theirs.

Thats confirmation as to where it is, I thought the finning looked similar , too.
I did notice that Dutch had provided information on the Denco engines on the website where I found the photos of the earlier Denco, and it was noted that no photo of the type 3 Denco was then available, just maybe this is the photo of the Denco type 3 that Dutch or the site were looking for ??

I have a list (and some pics) with over 65 different conversion and hybrids made for ESO / JAWA engines, and the list is not complete.
But how many conversion are at Jonesy's place.
