« on: September 14, 2011, 06:00:07 pm »
Can anyone tell me if the bracket that is pop riveted inside the air box and anchors the filter and cage-should that running north/south or diagonal?Mine is north/south and I"m buggered if I can get that airfilter and cage into position.Or is it a case or cursing swearing and losing some skin off the knuckles?

If it's anything like the 250g airbox it's a prick of a thing for access

It's the same as my IT 175/125 bikes.. If you have an aftermarket air cleaner on the standard cage they can be a lot larger and harder to hook over the stud. I have one with a standard cleaner and it goes on quite well but one has a late model YZ/WR air cleaner element on the stock cage and it is a bit trickier to wiggle on.

Brett if you mean the air filter cage I was chasing-yes I got one from Just Dirt Bikes Wreckers in Melbourne. They have been good for rare parts. They were the only ones(I tried heaps in australia) who also had the plastic guard that goes over the monoshock and sits on top of the air box-even had the rubber flap attached to it-great condition $75
