PE175N front brake cable
« on: September 11, 2011, 02:09:30 pm »
Could anyone tell me whether the front brake backing plate has an M8 thread where the brake cable anchors / adjusts like earlier RM's? I have a backing plate with no thread and I'm thinking it's either been stripped out or the cable does not have adjustment at this end, only mid-cable and at the brake lever.

Advise appreciated.

I've got a 175x, which you reckon would be the same, and there's no thread at the brake plate. Adjustment is mid cable and at the lever as you said.

I am sure they aren't threaded the cable just slots in to the brake plate.
