Hi Bultaco fans, Can someone please tell me if its possibel to change the shift lever to a Left hand side operation on pre 75 Pursang engines. I think I have seen LHS shifting engines around so I was wondering if its a simple conversion. Thanks

Kev,
Peter Schoene used to offer it as a service & I imagine he still does. Required sending both cases to him; welding a boss/collar on the LH case for bush/seal, then line boring to suit later LH shiftershaft

It's not irreversible.
I don't struggle with the right foot gear change, just the left foot panic breaking

And don't forget, most tracks run in an anti clockwise direction so with a RH gear lever you're able to have more free access to change gears into and through a corner, than with a LH setup where your foot might be hitting into the dirt. H'mmm.
