Here's my 661; it appears to be same as your photo but with different coloured piping.

My 661 is at least six months old; if your photo was gleaned from the 661 web site it could well be the new (2008?) model.

Quick question: What your all calling a "Pressure suit" IS exactly the same as the Chinese and Dainese "Mesh" type?...isn't it? or is there a difference, (and I mean in performance, etc.)
I notice the ePay types are now selling whole the set-up i.e. pants, jersey and mesh body armour for $190  :o
Just trying to decide which way to go.

i think the standard armour you can buy
worn on the outside is
still the best ;D

i've always had the FOX body armour and love it. had a big get off about 2 yrs ago where i broke my shoulder/ribs and felt the armour did it's job as intended. i'm now wearing an ACERBIS chest guard but prefer the FOX.
the only drawback i can think of with the plastic external chest protector is you can't "show off" your jersey as well or to dispaly a race number on the back can be a little tricky.

I`m with Graeme....go the Dainese...sure it`s hot to wear ....but usually with aftermarket stuff you get what you pay for
i wear the dianese which i find is comfortable once its on .i used to to wear just a back protector over my old '62 omodies leathers but i cracked a rib standing on my forehead at nepean about 3 yrs ago so i saved up some pension money for the dianese only problem is the back protector covers my old merrylands club colour patch.  cheers wally.
dont follow me i'm probably off line!

I have had the Dianese for close to 10 years now and besides one zipper it has been great- has anybody tried to wear a Leatt neck brace or similar with one of these all in one type armour suits;eg.Dianese/Sixsixone etc.I've been thinking about getting a neck brace but can't get my head around how the back projection on the neck brace would sit properly with the back protector part of the armour suit.

I own a 661 suit but back in the day my protective chest/shoulder pads looked similar to the modern 'external' armour.
Much like the modern 'rugby league style' shoulder protection.

So is there any reason it can't be worn under the jersey - despite the common practice to wear it on the outside?

I'm with russ on the armour debate!  Wearing one of those "pressure suits" would give me the shits
I wear FOX roost 2 new generation and have had a few big ones (stacks) I recently landed on my shoulder dislocating it, if it wasn't for this armour I reckon it would be broken or dead now!
I have a set of V2000 as well and it gives great protection and still looks the best 20 years-on!
