WA to QLD?
« on: August 21, 2011, 12:44:56 pm »
Has anyone moved a bike across the country recently?

I've managed to secure a restored Suzuki T20 (road bike) and any info about reputable and reasonably priced transport would be greatly appreciated.

Where in Qld is it going to Paul and how much of a hurry are you in ?
Looking for YZ250C parts NOS if possible

"My inability to use emoticins in the right context is really getting me down :)
The only triple jumps he would have been doing are the hop, skip & jump.

The destination is NW side of Brisbane and I'm not in any great hurry.

What did you have in mind?

Moving my whole road show including the bikes I've got here to Rockhampton at Christmas time.  It all goes in containers - there should be enough space left for another bike.  They plan to crate my bikes.  Wouldn't be too expensive to add another one i wouldn't have thought - maybe 4 or 5 hundred.  Rocky back to Brissie would be a bit easier than Perth - Brisbane  :-\
Just a thought.  Let me know if I can help.

Thanks for the kind offer YZ, but I've arranged transport with Bikes Only - delivery should be about the end of the first week in September.

All up it will cost me about 500 bucks depot-depot, which is not too bad considering the distance and carriage and insurance etc.

Cheers
