Quicky, do you have any mates in the US. I know where you can get them NOS off the shelf. K4 are reasonably cheap at about $45US it's the early model cover that's about $100US all up. Even the old type are still available new if you hunt around. The new ones I'd found were all in the US but the dealers either have a $250 min international order setup or they simply don't ship or deal with people out of the US. I tried ;)

Betric, I've seen the ridiculous prices the early covers go for..last one on ebay went for over $100us and it was well used but complete. It's the same as TM125 mag covers. I know where they are new and the list price is a touch over $200 delivered. They have always been expensive due to the magnesium content but they are still available if you take time to hunt world wide. If I were a rich man I would take a trip to the US and buy a truckload of all the bits people say aren't available and bring it back and make a killing. The xr75 covers available are '77 onwards $40.34usd (11341-149-020) early model cover is $68.72 for the big inner and $27.01 for the outer (11341-116-000 & 11431-116-000) The Yanks themselves are the worst for not checking stock right under their noses cause if they did they'd find a whole swag of 'no longer available' or 'impossible to find' parts that are available and priced unbelievably low ;) If I let drop all my secrets I imagine these places would be cleaned out rapidly so I'm trying to figure a way to get some of it here that I need before I let loose. I'm talking stuff like new tanks, pipes, shocks, covers, airboxes, seats, guards..all new and all genuine. IF you seek you shall find and that is all I can say for now sorry..I probably should have kept my mouth shut for various reasons but if I can find it anyone can!

(the TM mag covers I so often speak of are not in the US)

Betric..have a 'good look' at the US parts stores (don't go near eBay!!)..if per chance you can't find any and start spazzing at me for even mentioning it then I'll feel a right mug and I'll give you the addy. Strange as it may seem I wouldn't feel so bad if you stumbled onto them yourself   ;)
