ON a side note how do you tell the differances of the metal if you wante to confirm it ? magnet ?

Nope. Both are magnetic.
I know a metascope analyser will do the job - a portable machine that detects the Chromium in the spectra. Dont know any simple way sorry. Anyone else know about metallurgy?
