If it really was a 360 it'd have to be worth $6 or $7k wouldn't it?

yeah, but unfortunately it's not...  and even if you find another 360B motor to put in it, it's always going to be a bitsa..  It'll never be worth what a matching numbers bike is.   :'(

Is it my eyes or does it have a problem with the chain coming off?
Guess it must be my eyes.
Chain appeared very tight.
Photo probably.

Some people own stamps you know you would know what the number has to be from the frame it happens to cars and bikes all the time I reckon a few "Matching Number'' bikes and cars bought wouldn't be.

NO offence martin but had you put it up here first it would have had a differant response. When i see stuff posted directly to Ebay my lights go straight on, it usually means there is somthing about the bike the seller is questioning in there own head. IF its on the public domain first its open to discussion.

IM cool that you have done the $80 worth of bearing and seals, most seller dont on a rebuild.  they slap in some rings and a piston and call it so.

Good luck with the sale now we know whos it is.  Im good for $3500 !  or i can swap you a YZ250 B frame for the YZ360B, i got a YZ360 B in my race bike and also have a 250B frame, kinda in reverse huh.....

might be easier for you to sell if its one way round, and matching prefix at least, if you got the engine numbers ill check my frames incase i have it here.

I found a MX360A bike i had bought from Perth in 2007 after ridding it for 2 year was the matching engine from another MX 360a i was alos racing.  So it very very possible if it hadnt happend to me already once....

YOU cant restamp the motors its too differant.. and the frame ... way too hard for a 250b

No worries freaky I know alot of bikes you can not familiar with the yz I am sure if there was a will there would be a way I didn't mean the 250b motor stamped to 360 but another 360 motor stamped to match the frame. :)
