Anyone had any good / bad / don't care with the "new style" main bearings with plastic separators rather than the "old school" steel ones??.. Just bought some new double row angular contact bearings and was suprised to see the plactics/ nylon.... Any thoughts??

My sherco trials bike has been running main bearings with polyamide cages for quite a while, the reason for the change that the factory gave is that they are quieter running than steel cages

No rivets on the cage is a good thing
