What happened to the Nimmo is banned for life thread???

The weird thing is that I don't think Nimmo is banned at all. He posted under the name 'Faaarrrkkk' early one morning using an unflattering  photo of me as his avatar and [email protected] as his email address but before I got to complain it'd all disappeared...every single post he'd done over the last five years. It's as if he never existed.
Nimmo pulled his posts himself, it's nothing to do with being banned, so who's bullshitting who.

I am not sure quite what happened but it is as Firko describes. I banned for life the account set up as faaarrkkk, which was simply over the top. I don't know that that account was Ross, perhaps it was. However before I did that Ross' account and all his posts disappeared.  I assume he did that, I haven't gone back over the logs to check. When I banned faaarrkkk, I banned that accounts email address, IP address and username.

I am disappointed as I did appreciate a lot of what Ross brought to the forum. It's a shame he also brought a disregard for the wishes of the majority for members to behave civilly.

Please let that be a reminder to all. I now have a couple of additional eyes keeping an close watch on posts, so that should help me keep on top of things. The forum should remain a place for people to feel free to offer their contribution without having to worry about having insults slung on them. Above all, it should be a fun place to hang out.

And that's it. I'll lock this thread now so it doesn't degenerate into a Ross Nimmo slag-off.
