It's the left throttle Indians with left foot clutch and left hand gear change that will mess with your head.
[/quote]

I think the Indians had left hand throttle, left foot clutch and right hand gear change. With the sliding gear gearboxes you needed to double clutch with false neutrals on the down changes. The only way to do this is with one hand on the throttle and the other on the gearchange.
Cheers, Grahame.

The Indians with the left hand throttle thing is a left over from the wars when when they needed the right hand to shoot a Winchester while leaning under the neck of their paint pony and fire at the guys from F troop. I seen it on a john wayne movie once.
speaking of which I saw a shot of Big John sitting on his Honda-not a 750/4 but a CL175 or something like it. A far call from ol' mate jumping his CheneyTriumph

Back in the day I had a 68 Triumph right hand gear change.
Jump from it to jappers with no trouble, just takes a bit of time then its natural.
Didn't buy because of the RH change. shame as it looks good.

I quite like the AJS Stormer. I agree, the right hand gear change is not hard to get used to at all and it becomes easy to swap from Japanese left change to a right change bike.

Why buy in USA when they are available here in melbourne for sale, at Classic motorcycles Seaford. Contact John Munn. He has three ASJ stormers for sale.
