BULTACO FRONTERA

A couple of questions:
Is Model 143 (1975) the first model Frontera?
What was the fork diameter and travel? (I assume they were Betors)
Was the fuel tank size and fit common throughout each mdel over the years?
Rear wheel travel for 1975 model?
Any help much appreciated Jerry

Just spotted this one Jerry. Looks like you didn't get much response.


If you haven't found out already, yes the 143 was 1st Frontera. Forks were 35mm betors (in line axle), same as pursags of the era. Travel about 7.5". Rear wheel travel about 6" with Telescos standard fitment.

Tank was diff on the 250 models (152 & 180), smaller & had no 'tool-box' compartment on top - similar shape to what Pomeroy used on his GP bikes (so the pursang guys like em for their 'sangs)

Hi John thanks for taking the time and good to see you back. Yes indeed I did find out what I needed to know and then subsequently obtained a tank and forks (many thanks Stan S). I still need a chain tensioner, expansion chamber (250cc) and bash plate, By any chance would you know where I can get hold of a "glass" tool box. Very hard to come by. Cheers Jerry
