80/81 Seat Foam
« on: July 09, 2011, 09:38:23 am »
Guys,

I may have found someone who can remanufacture seat foams for the 80/81 bikes.
If you are interested let me know. As it is alot of work to make the mould etc. and he wants to know if there is a market.
I know my 250 one is knackered, and i have one perfect one on the shelf to send to get copied.

Regards,
Adrian

I need a seat foam for my 78 ktm, how different are these to the 80/81?
Could they be easily modified to fit?

I'll check as i have the 78 foam as well. But they are different i think. I think the 78 foam will be more like the mc5 foam.
Slakewell may know more.

I can use a 81 if the price is around $100.00
It's not that hard to make your own and at least if you wish to make a tad higher you can but it is allot of work. One thing with KTM's is the rear of seat changed allot between models. 74.5 to 77 MC are the same 78 is different 79 and 80 maybe the same and 81 is different.

The guy wants to know if it's worth his while making a mould.
I will hit him up again. Will also ask on the 495 forum for more takers.
