I looked the otherday but did not see them, unless i looked in the wrong place. They had 340 stroker kits though. I just sent a email as maybe they dont have them advertised on the site?

They're like most parts...always about when you don't want them and never when you do.
Got mine off Epay - old stock Henry Abe for around $100 incl. ship to Oz. At the time there was a few getting around....not that this really helps you though. :-\

Where is the Henry Abe made? $100 is good. What do you think about yours, was it a worth while mod? I wonder if these are available from old Honda dealers.

Made in Japan. Fairly sure they're defunct now. Never really got to use mine in anger after fitting as I've sold the bike now. Certainly with the cam and bigger bore the old girl really lifted it's skirts on run around the paddock compared to how it was.

Dunno how much truth there was in it, but when I was ringing around Oz to find someone who could do the line boring of the head  (which I couldn't) there was a bloke at either Waggots or Serco saying they used to use a Holden piston rings back in the day for 305's??
Whether or not that means you can use a Holden piston....(can't imagine that would be easy if at all possible)
Also the 305 kits come with a new liner as well.

Getting sleeves is no problem. I have a guy who makes them. So far its not looking good. I know of a 83mm (313cc) piston for a XL250S which would be 78/79 but i think the pistons are different to the K models? The pin is 19mm but im not sure what else is the same if anything.
I also went looking in the wiseco book to see if i could find pistons from something else that may work. There is a Yamaha Big Bear ATV piston that comes in 83 and 84mm and has 19mm pin but i have no dimensions on the piston to know if the height is the same or not. It says 10.25:1 compression but who knows what that would be in the XL engine though.

Has anyone got an old 305 piston they dont want? I might look into getting them made. I think Wisecos minimum order is 10 so all we need is 9 other people to be in on it.

Another option is the 340 kit from Powroll with the 9.5mm stroker crank which is pricey but i have not heard from them yet or know anyone using it and could recommend it.

I think with 440, starting with a 350 would be a better option. Not sure if the 250 gearbox would handle 440?. I will see if Roy has the pistons though and in the mean time work out what to do with the head ::)
