1980 cr8o r/h case

hi ,does any body know which way round the right hand crank seal goes in the case 1980 cr80 as i have seen them both ways i have a logical idea of which way it should go but like i say i have seen it fitted flat side in flat side out ,thanks

I just had a look at genuine 1980 CR80R shop manual, looking at the diagram & photo of the R/H crankcase it looks like the flat side of the seal sits against the crankshaft, the photo shows the the crankcase laying on it's clutch side, so you are looking at the gearbox side of the crankcase with the flat side of the seal showing with main bearing behind it, the flat side of the seal has small lip around it's hole.
