Amazing history! Classic 'pick yourself up, dust yourself off-start all over again' stuff More determination and tenacity than me or anyone else methinks. Keep on enjoying "the ride", and the people cheers pancho.

" '77 10th BP Mallee Rally 400km enduro. As an 18 yo I rode my TS185 to Mildura for the event! "  From Frankston; about 9 hours ride away!  LOL

Hmm I may have been there watching the Baker brothers win in the buggies.

I'm a Mornington boy myself, we may have passed each other along the train tracks service roads or at the sand pits off MacClelland drv. - maybe we had a fight outside the Grand or Pier Hotel or the Pines Estate?  :D

I did my Apprenticeship at Rod Linden Yamaha.

Yep Johnny O, a gentleman of the sport. I raced club superbike with him back in the early 90's and he was always happy to lend ya tyre lever or what eva u needed.

U probably don't remember me 186 Motorola GSXR750J was always with Oggy back in the day.

Hartwell was always good for the trophies lol

Geez I thought I fell off a lot, but my highest speed crash was only 160 not 240 and I didn't do anywhere near as much damage  :o   I can only remember one of my road race crashes, it just happens to the last one.  Some great results there, a lot better than my efforts...

Sorry Wombat, I might remember the face or name, too many bangs on the head lol.

Cheapracer, yeh we would have crossed paths a lot, I use to ride at the 'shit farm', 'Redouts' 'McClelland Drive' 'Train tracks'  'Bungower Rd ' and 'Saltmarsh's' (they use to hire out XR75's on their own track in Mornington).  I mainly rode TM and RM125's.

Got arrested out front of the Pier Hotel one night doing burn-outs on my TS185B when I was 17 & 9 months LOL; they locked me up for the night and left my TS laying on its side out the front of the pub, lucky it was still there in the morning when I got back there lol.

'Saltmarsh's' (they use to hire out XR75's on their own track in Mornington).

Oh shit did I laugh when I read that! I was at Saltmarsh's every weekend that I could doing chores and shoveling shit out of their stalls and pens to earn rides! XR75's, Dax's and a Honda 90 3 wheeler. Many a lap around the kidney track, always pissed off because it was 3 right handers and only one left!

Big fat Salty - Mrs Saltmarsh used to make lunch for me sometimes.

Yep "Shitfarm" and "Redouts", good times, bet it's all houses now.

I was a skinny redhead kid, I wore blue/yellow Heckle boots.  I use to go to into Rod Linden's a bit, what a funny dude.

You mean funny as in strange - I never trusted him, while I didn't think he was queer (never saw him with a female) he had a habit of having teenage boys around as to be a father figure to them.

Jeez J.O. that is a list of 'offs' You could ask Dave Aldana for a lend of his leathers. :D
You should have asked me years ago-I would have told you that Road racing was dangerous. :D
And I hope you can get more air on the Suzi 'cause that little jump looks a bit sooky-even if it's at 100mph or so.
