Well tracks were fantastic until just after lunch and the rain started. Bloody slippery now.

Also the Vinduro loops were great too.. except for the first mudhole that is... bike stopped dead, I kept going. I've never had to go back to a bike when I've fallen off, first time for everything I guess.

After that little hickup, the rest of the morning was exxxccceeellent. The "hard" vinduro loop were great fun, jumps going up nice steep hills and jumps going down as well. Top marks to the guys who set out the vinduro loops, they were first class.

As mentioned in the previous thread, the light drizzly rain started at about 2pm, that's when we decided to call it a weekend. That was the plan also.

When I left this afternoon, it was the type of rain where you can walk 100 meters and not get wet, but it's likely to keep up over night and tomorrow. If you're going just to look take a brolly and you'll be fine but the spectical of seeing good riding is dampened (excuse the pun) buy the slippery conditions.

So it's 1.30am and it stopped raining hours ago,  Hopefully will be clear tomorrow and we might get a ride in but if it rains again, I'm not so sure.  Quite a bit of water sitting around and the tracks are very slippery.

On the up side though, a fantastic time being had by all I suspect. As a CD virgin I think that there are great bikes, great people and a really great event IMHO.

Anyhows I've had too many beers (is there such a thing??) and need to catch some beauty sleep for tomorrow.   ;)

Cheers

Track report: No rain but track is really wet and really slippery.  They've made some minor changes to the pre 78 track, open MX track and I think the vinduro loop also has been changed a bit but as I sit here typing, bikes are blasting around the track.

Ahhh the smell of 2-stroke in the morning .... how's the serenity  ;D

Cheers
Craig

What a blast, a big congradulations to VMX, Suzuki, Sunshinecoast M/C club, also QVMX for putting on a bloody good weekend, weather was a bummer but we cant do anything about that was still great fun, bad luck to a few of our fellow sidecar guy's who were sick ,namely Vaughn and Jamie, hopefully everyone enjoyed the sidecars going round , l no we had a blast riding them, they were actually easy to ride than the solo believe it or not, anyway good weekend and here's looking forward to next year, and thank's to Steve Baker for letting me ride that mighty CR 500 EML what a weapon and get well soon mate........... :D :D :D :D

Had a great time even though not much time riding, met a lot of great people and had a lot of compliments on my Maico and even a few offers to purchase. I had to leave Sunday morning due to some light fingered louie who stole my race pants that were hanging up drying outside of our camper van. Please send me your contact details so I can send you the matching top you left behind, it would be a shame to break up a set.
