Painting inside of crank case
« on: June 06, 2011, 11:24:48 am »
Hi All

This might be a naff question but I have just stripped and painted the outside of a crank case and the original paint has mostly come away from inside (both transmission and crank housing). Will this need to be repainted or am I OK to just leave it and rebuild it?

Cheers

From my experiences it is perfectly okay to leave internals as raw material without any paint.

The Trans and engine (2Stroke) oils will keep them clear of any surface rusting issues etc.
