After a recent stroke Don Godden has passed away. Sorry I have no more details other than I am gathering that he passed in the last day or so.

Those that know will know of Don's contribution to the Grass and Dirt Track scene and those that dont should make the effort to find out about one of the few that has made a real difference.

Well said Col, he was a leading light in Slider Frame & Engine development and will be sadly missed.

Cast a large shadow over not just speedway and grass track, but roadracing as well with his engine development and engineering skills and knowledge. A willing competitor and an ornament to the sport. Hats off.

I had a look on the UK Grasstrack forum when I heard the news and apparently Don passed away Saturday UK time.
Don Godden, as  an engineer, designer , constructor and, above all, a rider, he was responsible for many great moves forward in our sport.
RIP Don Godden
