great pics Graeme, you missed your calling?

Interesting to see how many trail/enduro bikes there are in the mix. I thought that never happened back in the day? ;D

Yeah, I am wondering about that too. I think that the Conondale event just had an enduro class, and I was always a trailrider/enduro fan, not MX, so I think I just took pics of the enduro bikes cos it was unusual to see them racing. The Miriamvale event was more of a club day type thing.

By the way, this batch are over-sharpened. Next lot I'll wind that back a bit so they aren't so ummm... weird.

Some good shots there.. I see Dave Armstrong, James Deakin, Peter Ploen, Steve Frieberg and Geoff Udy amongst them.

Yep, there'd be a few of the usual crowd in those shots. Udy crashed awkwardly in the mud and we had a good chuckle but he went right off. I think it was cos he was trapped under the mighty DR. We took pity and went and lifted it off him. I don't recall him saying thanks...   ;D

You can't even blame getting stuck under the gate for that start Noel. Fell forward in those days. I was probably there on my 80
