Postage Costs for an expansion chamber - US to Oz?

What would you expect to pay?

$65.00 to $85.00 USD depending on the size , as in this case its more of a volume issue than actual weight.

We got a husky pipe and silencer last year and it was $65.00 USD for the freight.

Circle F quote 2 in a box for $75 usd ( as Jan 2008 ) and you just put the mufflers on later so it must be a certain lenght box he ships them in.

Sounds like we are all around the same money and it seems its the size that tips it not the weight cause I paid $100 for a set of forks in a small long box, but they weigh a lot.

It generally works on volume ,  we also paid a similar amount just before Xmas to import a set of forks. Fairly large box , even when the forks are dismantled.

Thanks guys. I have emailed the seller with a link to  this thread and asking him to review the postage. We'll see how it goes.

I don't mind paying, I just don't like paying through the nose  .

got a pipe from dirt overstock the day USPS put the rates up - was $63 US then but jumped as did all their costs - I would be surprised if you  still get it for around $65US???

I paid about $75 (give or take) to ship a Circle F pipe for my TM. It may be more now.

I was quoted $285 for chamber plus a shoe box of extras.

Pay through the nose - more like having your nasal passage reamed with a fist  .

Make sure you ask for it to be shipped by USPS. Most of the other shipping companies are ridiculously expensive.

I tried to get a husky pipe from the US and asked the seller for a shipping price, but because it was longer than 48", the seller said that the post office refused to send it.

Get GMC or another Aussie specialist to make your custom pipe and stuff paying the overseas freight.

ive had stupid stuff like that happen. i was told a PO over there reckons that a plastic fuel tank was too big to ship and didnt fit with in the limits. im not sure what i did, but i either told the seller to try another PO or he send it to my US friend and then he shipped it no problems.

i was looking at getting a used DG pipe i saw and i was quoted US $60 for it. i thought that was very good. i was prepared to pay over $100 for it but then i pulled out at last minute because it just didnt look like it was off the bike the seller said it was and they wouldnt send me better photos or answer my questions so i didnt want to take the risk paying lots for it and then getting it here and being wrong. the worst part was that it only ended up selling for about $60 and i now regret my decision, beacuse even if it didnt fit i could of easily sold it.

I really didn't expect to win the pipe at this price but I had won a few other items and thought I would 'throw it in' to make for reasonable postage.

I grabbed the pipe for originality as well. If I get this thing together and race it I might end up with a GMC pipe as well.
