Mexican Standoff.
« on: May 20, 2011, 05:26:29 pm »
My 'personal trainer' 8) took me bush walking this arvo down in the gorge country here at Campbelltown.

We came across a feral Nanny and her two kids. Bella was off like a shot and gave chase. Chased the Nanny all the way to the river then came back to bail up the two kids. As you can see it became an Mexican Standoff.

This one handed shot doesn't do the subject credit. Bella was snookered, head leaning up against the window. It had been a 'tough day at the office', first chasing a Roo and then the goats ;) :D.

Husky are escape artists. A sign of their intelligence no doubt.

And they love birds - love catching and eating that is. Bella would average 1-2 Minahs a week, and the occasional dove. She just chases and leaps at them. She has lots of misses but it keeps her entertained and fit ;).

If you are ever tempted to get one, or are talked into it by your daughter ::) be aware they're escape artists, have no road sense, are very active and require daily walks etc., and they molt hair like you wouldn't want to believe. And they are very social  8) - they demand attention and company. A great feature if that is what you want but if you want to leave the dog in the backyard and pat it once a week the Husky ain't for you. Left on their own they stress and get mischievous - dig, escape or even self harm (chewing and scratching themselves unnecessarily).

the owners were very greatful for his return he just kept going from house to house looking for his home, although he was getting plenty of attention from me and my kids and he loved it all the time it seemed he was looking for his owners.he just had the look of this is good but its not were i should be.i've always owned dogs but the birds are much easier to clean up after and one of my birds curls up under my neck and if any one touches me or tries to touch her she attacks.there very funny there just like little people sometimes and they all have there own personality.cheers gary
