RIP Adolf Weil

RIP, Adolf Weil died last thursday May12, in his hometown Solingen/Germany at the age of 72. He was one of the best German Motocrosser and called "the smoothest rider" . 14 times German Champion, Vice World Champion and Trans AMA Champion in 1973, all on Maico., raced with Roger de Coster, Bengt Aberg etc

In the early 70's I had all his photos from t&t and Dirt Bike (us) on my bed room walls , had a thing for Maico's grew out of it . Sad he was good, him and the dentist forgot his name .

Gerrit Wolsink the dentist?!  Sad to hear of Adolfs passing. I grew up winning MX vicariously with these European stars.
WANTED. Canams;all models,complete or parts.SWM stuff too!

Adolph Weil was one of my all time motocross heroes. He might not have won any world titles but he came damn close and there was no one tougher on the GP scene. I'm honoured to have seen him ride........Rest Easy Adolph.
