Can anyone advise me what new shocks would be the best to buy for an Evo twinshock - preferably ones with adjustable rebound and compression damping. It seems if you  buy older used Ohlins or something similar, you first have to get them rebuilt and then they invariably have the wrong spring rate and / or the damping is all wrong and the damping is impossible to adjust without full  disassembly, so I was wondering what new currently manufactured twin shocks members would recommend which are close to the mark when ordered and can be adjusted by using the adjustablilty of the shock, without having to dismantle them or get new springs etc etc.  Any help would be appreciated as I need some decent shocks for my bike and would like to be in a position to order a set to match the bike and my weight, and then be able to fine tune them using the inbuilt adjustability of the shock. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I would say Ohlins if you want to spend the money or Works Performance if you want a cheaper alternative.

If people are spending $800 to rebuild Ohlins send them my way.. you can buy seal heads, bump rubbers and oil for under $200.. that's a nice little profit ;)

Thanks for all the input boys - I will make enquiries at YSS and Gazi - has anyone got any experience of the Gazi units as they look like reasonable value. ?

My advice:  talk to some reputable suspension tuners before you buy anything.  These guys see the end results when things go wrong with shocks.
