I love it. I have watched a few times before. He was the man, back when free style was a flying W and not falling off! Seems I was very easily pleased.

In the final minute, where he downhills over the "accidentally parked" car, the camera
switches to front view of car.   Watching closely, you can tell they'd snuck a plank at back for him to
get up onto the car.   I love the way the paint (?) explodes off roof, once it is unloaded.
   Love the way he can ride off the car and carry on.  Amazing stuff.   (And not to mention
mono-ing down the steps, earlier on)
 
   He would have been a brilliant addition to the card on your regular USA supercross

Doug was the wheelie king alright. That hill, Lombard street, is hard enough to walk up let  alone wheelie down! I reckon the KLX was the ideal bike Hoony, nice soft grunt with no nasty surprises.

Doug is a legend! Seeing him wheelie a complete lap of the '80 Sydney Supercross track on a KLX250 was awesome.. he also wheelied across the Sydney Harbour bridge on a Z1000
Lombard street is super steep and that was a big achievement in the day..
and i think it is a KX250 in the video clip

i reckon the KLX ( or any  4t trailey) would have been an easier choice too Firko, the KX would have only added to his challenge.

I seem to recall reading he ran a small motor on the front wheel to keep it spinning to aid in the gyroscopic effect,if you look closely at the front end i reckon you can see something fitted to the lefthand fork leg of that kx,dunno how it was powered,electric i guess? spinning wheel or not the dude could chuck a mean monowheel
