I have a question regarding the twin carb Puch that was on Ebay . As Harry Everts won the 250 World MX title in 1975 on the Puch, wouldn't the Everts Replica be a '76 model ? (not a '75 model as in the Ebay description). Also I read in an Everts photo gallery webpage that there was 97 twin carb Puchs made .

I was extremely priviledged to watch Harry Everts cutting some demo laps on a twin carbed Puch (not his actual GP bike) at the Dick Mann Vintage Rally at Sandhill Ranch in 1988. He was incredibly smooth and unbelievably fast which I naturally put down to Harry's ability more than the bike. Then the owner can't recall his name) took the bike out for another demo and he was also as quick as shit on it. I soon realised the Puch was a very fast and very special piece of kit.

I would have loved to have seen it in race action but in those days it was all pre '75 so the 'Pook' was limited to show off laps during the lunch break.

It says 90 were made originally, but does the add mean that this is one of the 90, kept new all these years, or that it’s a replica of an original?
This would explain it as a mock up replica of what Everts rode in 75, not a Puch 76 replica of what Everts rode

Not sure about the doom & gloom of selling predictions.
I don’t think people buy these things as financial investments so much as an investment of passion.

You are right but actually it doesn't say that its a 75 model .It says that it was built in 75 . Many bikes are made late in the year preceeding their availability. These bikes were available in 76.

I too have seen Harry ride and it's clear where Stefan got his reputation for smoothness.

Harry had polio as a child and cannot run. I'm not joking here I've seen him try. He quite literally stumbles. Because of the polio he finds the transition from sitting to standing very difficult so he stands all the time. And we all know riders that stand are smoooooth...

Well the bike on which Harry won that championship was a low piper.
