What is the hot shock setup for a 78'
« on: April 13, 2011, 12:58:10 pm »
I have a 78 Maico with a 81 Thor swingarm. Does the use of the 81 swing arm change the length of the shock required? I tried to have a set of Ohlins made but ran into major difficulties. Something about having a shorter piston tube made. YSS told me they don't make a piggyback for the 78 Maico. I am about to have Racetech whip out a set of piggybacks. They seem to be the only people I have spoke to who say it is not a problem. I see pictures of Ohlins on 78-79 Maicos all the time. Are you guys using longer 81 length or having 370mm shocks made?
