Great to read Davids article about in the latest issue of VMX (shameless plug..) about Cedric Van Heerden and his recollections about Walter Schultz. I knew Walter very well and quite a character was he. A german speaking Swiss he was afflicted with the aggression that blights many short men (he was only about 5'2"). Walter bristled. Permanently. To see him in full bristle mode had many a dour man in hysterics. But under the bristle lurked a true gentleman. Walter, sadly, broke his neck in an MX race and, as far as I could gather, was euthanased.
