RM 250N resto help
« on: March 31, 2011, 01:37:50 pm »
Need some advice about restoring a RM250N, I am looking for a DG muffler, there only seems to be 81 models onwards. do any of these fit or can be modified to fit?
What is the best chain tensioner/roller/guide setup I dont have the original tensioner, but I see the "T" didn't have one, is this config the "hot ticket :-["
And are coils just coils? Is a TS/TM/RM 125 coil the same as a RM250 coil? they look the same but they have different part no's and the TS has the Earth bar around the outside.
Cheers Nob :)

DG make a universal alloy muffler. The only difference is they dont have the riveted on badge and they have a sliding bracket. If you really wanted to you could get someone like GMC to replicate the original welded on bracket.

Thanks Steve I plan to give Mr Maxwell a visit soon so I'll check them out.

It appears that 125 coils are different to the rest can't understand why when the tm 100's are on the list

I have seen Bears RMs on the forum but can't find them again :(
