Hi,
Can someone please point me in the right direction for setting the timing on a MX250 with standard ignition components?

Cheers Mark

Jam a dial indicator down the spark plug hole & rotate crank until the piston crown is 2.4mm Before Top Dead Centre (BTDC) then align the two timing marks shown in your pic. That should be pretty right ;)

YEp how easy is that !  if your real lasy and just wanna see if it runs shove somthing in the head that point out, find the point it hits highest spot mark it and cam back a poof tenth. ( couple a mm in tech terms)

and if it dont run you got other issues   ;D
