Wheelsmith clutch spring

Has anyone used one of those wheelsmith clutch springs in their 81/82 490?  I am just wondering if they improve the action and make it any lighter on the pull?

I've had one for years but have never had the guts to use it after reading poor reports on the Yahoo Maico Forum. I'll be soon rebuilding my squarie 350 which has a 490 clutch so I'm also interested to hear any reports.

I am there with Firko! got one! never had the guts to put it in.  Firko, good move to put 490 clutch plates on the oldies but goodies. I put that set up on all my old maicos even my 1957 250 case iron barrel I am building for the 250 premier light class here in the States.

Cheers Karl
