Kawasaki W1 650cc Twin pre68 Sidecar
« on: February 02, 2008, 09:59:51 pm »
Kawasaki W1 650cc Twin pre68 Sidecar.  This infamous ugly beast the "Black Rat"  is sitting in my shed and does so need to be on the track ! Love to see the fun, hard work and terror in a teams eyes again. The old horror is fully running and comes with a large crate of engine / gearbox spares plus two burnt out bikes (Motors gearboxes still in frames). Needs front brake cable and a set of mufflers as the straight out headers are a tad loud ..well a lot (but does sound gorgeous).

Has Boyer electronic sparks and runs a modified twin Mikuni head.

Asking $3000

pretty much an A10 BSA isnt it. i know a guy who was desperatly looking for a pre 68 sidecar or a bike to build one and he pretty much came to the decision that the only choice was a euro 2 stroke, one of these kwakas, a A10 BSA or a triumph or norton. im not sure what hes done now or if he has found anything though.

Common misconception ,Not even the spark plugs are the same Leith. Closer to BSA A7 but still nothing really interchanges .
I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Pissed with Joe Cocker hardly seems true.................

That's cos it's not.  :D
He walked off stage, jumped in a car and buggered off straight away as he's playing in Perth tonight.
So yes, I shot Joe Cocker and yes, we got pissed after, but he wasn't there.  :(
Sorry, off topic a bit.
btw Tim, feel free to share those photos with anybody you want to. Copy the CD even. I don't mind.
